12 Ounces Jeans Factory was founded in 1997 and has over 20 years of experience. Based in Barcelos, Portugal, it began developing jeans for its national market and quickly launched itself into the international market. Product quality, responsiveness and flexibility to its customer´s needs have contributed to 12 Oz Jeans Factory´s success.

12 Ounces Jeans Factory began as a single-employee venture in the early 1990´s and has grown into an experienced, well established family-run business in today´s fast-changing fashion industry.
From her humble beginnings, Maria da Conceição Simões Gomes, founder of 12 Ounces Jeans Factory, Lda worked diligently as a seamstress manufacturing only t-shirts and sweatshirts.
As manufacturing consumed most of Maria da Conceição´s daily activities, it is no surprise that her dedication, hard work and fondness for manufacturing rubbed off on her children as they also became involved in the business over the years.
With her two eldest sons by her side, she ventured into the manufacturing of jeans and other denim-made garments. By the end of the 90´s she had modestly expanded her business, employing 10 people, and worked for recognized national denim brands.
As the demand for textile manufacturing increased so did the offer. In light of this, 12 Ounces Jeans Factory increased its production capacity and diversified its services to included not just garment manufacturing but also pattern drafting, scaling, denim cutting, trimming and finishing.
Currently, the administration of 12 Ounces Jeans Factory, Lda. is overseen by Maria da Conceição´s sons whom have dedicated themselves to the growth and success of their mother´s manufacturing business.
Our production line is equipped with experienced employees and innovative machinery which offer automated and precision manufacturing processes to guarantee that each unit maintains the same characteristics throughout an entire production.
